When I was little
I thought that raindrops were the tears of sad angels
“Are Tears The Same As Rain?”
When tattered little hearts
can no longer sustain
what trembling little mouths
can’t seem to explain
are tears the same as rain?
When red weepy eyes
can no longer contain
those puffy wet pools
that gather in vain
are tears the same as rain?
When crackling voices squeak
echoing all the pain
of the laughter that has gone
and may never come again
tell me
are tears the same as rain?
