FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Sue A. Meier, MA, MPA, LMFT is a nationally recognized professional with over 19 years of experience in both the child abuse and crisis/information-referral hotline fields. She holds two Master’s degrees, graduating with distinction in both. The first is in Educational Psychology, Counseling and Guidance and the other is in Public Administration. She also is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. She has a strong combination of management and clinical skills. Ms. Meier has created and implemented both clinical programs and crisis hotlines. She has also been involved with the enhancement of technical capabilities for several national and local hotlines including additions, changes, and upgrades to the telephone and computer systems. Ms. Meier has been awarded the National Distinguished Service Registry for Counseling and Development. She has been a board member of the international organization, Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) where she chaired both the ethics and accreditation committees and is the Past Board President of the San Fernando Valley Child Abuse Council. In addition, Ms. Meier is a professor of psychology, critical thinking and child advocacy/social policy.
