Thank You!

Yes ICAN would like to send out a huge thank you to Shireen Alafi for her wonderful donation at our Annual Celebration and Awards Reception, and to Councilman Dennis Zine for matching it. Both have become true supporters of our mission to break the silence and cycle of abuse.

Yes ICAN is Awarded Grant

Yes ICAN was awarded a grant from the Alafi Family Foundation. Everyone at Yes ICAN would like to express our gratitude to the Alafi Family Foundation for their wonderful and generous donation to Yes ICAN !

We urgently need your help!

Yes ICAN has been busier than ever working with victims of child abuse and domestic violence rebuild their lives in our facilitated chat rooms. This site serves the needs of over 35,000 visitors each month, but due to the current economic crisis, we have experienced a severe shortfall of funds to sustain the organization (which is all volunteer). If you can help in any way - even with the smallest donation, you can make a big difference! All donations are tax deductible. Please pass the word to friends, family and coworkers and visit our donation page.

Thank you!

New Spanish Chat Group

In a continuing effort to reach survivors of child abuse on a larger scale, Yes ICAN is launching a new Spanish speaking online support group on Tuesday from 17:30 - 19:30 Pacific Time for survivors of abuse.   In addition we have added several English speaking support groups throughout the week.  These groups are led by trained facilitators and are free of charge.

"Our support groups in general are growing," said Sue Meier, Executive Director for Yes ICAN. "As long as the need is there, we will continue to provide our services free of charge.  With so many other programs having to close their doors, we welcome those who need support."

Just click on facilitated chat and check out the schedule and join us at our next facilitated chat.
